How long does a custom piece take?

Most commissions are completed in 2 to 4 weeks from final design approval. Intricate pavé, hand-engraving, or sourcing a specific certified stone may add 1 to 2 weeks. We'll always give you an honest timeline up front.

Can a piece be ready for a specific date?

Yes, in most cases. Tell us the date at the first consultation and we will plan the design, stone sourcing, and manufacturing milestones around it.

Do I have to choose a setting from the KFJ Exclusives?

No. The KFJ Exclusives are a starting point. We design entirely from scratch just as often. Bring a sketch, a photo, or simply a feeling, and we will draw alongside you.

Do you work with both natural and lab-grown diamonds?

Yes. Karim personally sources both. Every diamond we set is GIA or IGI certified, and we will walk you through the trade-offs of each option in plain language.

Where do your diamonds come from?

From established global dealers we have vetted personally over decades. All stones are conflict-free, traceable, and accompanied by their grading certificate.

Can I use a diamond or stones I already own?

Absolutely. Many of our commissions begin with a client's existing stones, an heirloom, or a single inherited diamond that deserves a new home.

Which metals do you work in?

18K Yellow Gold, 18K White Gold, 18K Rose Gold, PT950 Platinum, and 925 Sterling Silver. All are manufactured in-house in either our Calgary or Johannesburg atelier.

Will my piece be hallmarked?

Yes. Every KHOJA piece is stamped with its metal purity (e.g. 750 for 18K, PT950 for platinum, 925 for sterling) and carries our maker's mark.

Yes. Every piece is hand-built by our master goldsmiths and reviewed personally by both founders before it leaves the atelier.

How is pricing determined?

Pricing is transparent: metal weight at current market, stones at certified cost, plus our design and manufacturing. You'll see a written quote before any work begins.

What payment methods do you accept?

Bank transfer (EFT / wire) for the full commission, with a 50% deposit to begin work and the balance on completion. Card payments are available on request.

Yes, from both Calgary and Johannesburg, fully insured and tracked. Clients outside Canada and South Africa receive packages discreetly and securely.

Yes, every shipment is fully insured for its appraised value, door to door.

Book a private appointment and we will size you precisely on a Wheatsheaf gauge. Long-distance clients can request a complimentary ring sizer or use our printable guide.

Do you offer free resizing?

Yes. First resizing on any KHOJA piece is complimentary within the first year, and offered at cost thereafter.

What is included in lifetime aftercare?

Complimentary cleaning, polishing, prong-tightening, and inspections at either atelier for the life of your piece. We want it to look as crisp in 30 years as it does today.

We work by private appointment only, in both Calgary and Johannesburg, and visit clients at home by arrangement. This is intentional - it lets us give every client our full attention.
