1. About these terms

These terms govern your use of KHOJA Fine Jewelry's website and any commission, appraisal, repair, or sale undertaken with us. Engaging KHOJA constitutes acceptance of these terms.

2. Quotations & commissions

• Quotations are valid for 14 days. Metal, diamond, gemstone, and foreign exchange pricing remain subject to market movement until a deposit is received.
• A non-refundable deposit of 80% is required to commence bespoke, custom, or special-order work.
• The balance is payable prior to shipping or collection.
• Final pieces may vary marginally from renders due to the handmade nature of the work.

3. Design approval

Production begins only after written design approval (email, WhatsApp, or signed acceptance of CAD renders and specifications). Once a design is approved, requested changes may affect pricing and lead times, and may not be possible after production has commenced.

4. Lead times

Typical lead times are 4-8 weeks for bespoke pieces and 1-4 weeks for repairs and restoration, calculated from approval of design and receipt of deposit. We will advise in writing if delays arise.

5. Ring sizing

Clients are responsible for confirming the correct ring size before production. Resizing after delivery may be chargeable depending on the design, metal, and stone setting, and may not be possible on eternity bands, full pavé, or other complex settings.

6. Natural variation

Hand-finished jewelry, natural gemstones, and reimagined pieces may show slight variations in finish, colour, proportions, or layout. These characteristics are part of the custom-making process and are not considered defects.

7. Diamonds & gemstones

Independent laboratory reports (GIA, IGI, or equivalent) are provided where applicable, typically for centre stones and other significant diamonds, not for melee. Coloured gemstones are described in good faith based on current trade practice.

8. Client-supplied stones & jewelry

Client-supplied diamonds, gemstones, and jewelry are accepted for work at the client's risk. While every reasonable care is taken, KHOJA Fine Jewelry is not responsible for pre-existing damage, hidden weaknesses, previous repairs, treatments, chips, cracks, or breakage occurring during resetting, polishing, repair, or restoration.

9. Shipping & insurance

Domestic and international shipping is fully insured door-to-door. Shipping, insurance, duties, taxes, customs fees, and import charges are the responsibility of the client unless otherwise stated in writing. Title and risk transfer upon signed delivery confirmation.

10. Returns

Bespoke, custom, and special-order pieces are final sale and non-returnable. In-stock items, where available, may be exchanged within 7 days of delivery in original, unworn and unaltered condition with all documentation. Refunds are issued less original shipping and insurance.

11. Warranty & aftercare

KHOJA warrants its workmanship for 12 months against manufacturing defects. Complimentary cleaning and inspection is offered for the lifetime of the piece. The warranty excludes damage from misuse, accident, loss of stones due to impact, or normal wear.

12. Appraisals

Independent appraisals reflect the appraiser's professional opinion of replacement value at the date of issue and are not a guarantee of resale value.

13. Intellectual property

All designs, photographs, and copy on this site are the property of KHOJA Fine Jewelry and may not be reproduced without written permission.

14. Governing law

These website terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta, Canada. Individual commissions may be subject to additional terms confirmed in writing at the time of engagement.
